PROJECT 1 - TRANSFORMATION FROM SHEET TO PRODUCT

PROJECT 1 - CONTEXT OF USE

PROJECT 1 - FINAL PRODUCT HERO SHOT

PROJECT 1 - FINAL DESIGN - AUTOCAD FILE

The final design was manufactured in 136 red acrylic plastic. Refined meausrements are stated on the plan.

PROJECT 1 - DEVELOPMENT OF POT PLANT HOLDER

Through consulation with lecture/tutor, it was seen that the pot plant holder design would be the best to continue exploring through the use of acrylic plastic. Below exhibits the mulitple card models used to shape up a pot plant holder.

Many more were developed, exploring the different possiblities of sizes of the pot plant holder that would minimise the waste of space needed. It resulted in deciding that 4 sided base would be the best in terms of practical and coverage of the pot plant itself. From there, triangle sides were inspired through succulents which reflects the target markets low maintaince personality and structure.

A final model was made and used for manufacturing purposes. As advised from manufactors, the design had to be simplified so each side were identical in dimensions and angles to fold otherwise fabrication would take longer and possibility were limited in the creation throguh angles applied.

PROJECT 1 - 3 Final Concept Ideas with Paper Models

These are the three models that were presented using aluminium sheeting. The propoerties of aluminium were explored to create viable and function objects.
